There’s this, and then there’s that.

There’s a world of difference between skin and “touch this skin.” There are lips, and then there are lips that call out to be kissed. Some people only drink sugary, flavorful (emphasis on full) drinks; others have appreciation for flavored water (emphasis on water) and its benefits. I could go on with the distinctions, but I’ll explain first.

I got some feedback on my products that irritated me at first because of how much effort I put into getting the important stuff down, but I used it to formulate a better approach to my Signature Body Shop body care line and target a specific market. Fast food is great, but healthy eating is great for you. Sweet drinks are good, but water is better for you. The point is I make products with focus on soft, healthy, touchable, beautiful skin that glows. I choose natural ingredients geared toward that end result; scent is a bonus because it just makes it more fun–to make, and to use. That’s my signature move in this case–showing my creativity in mixing just the right things to address the right issues, making them smell like fun instead of medicine or nothing at all, but without drying, burning, or invading others’ personal space.

I don’t make perfume. I haven’t met many perfumes I actually like much, because I’m sensitive to many perfume components. But I have found that most people overdo it, and people with allergies and sinus issues suffer. In fact, I only decided to go ahead with the making of products after someone got into my car last week and had me thinking maybe I have asthma. I couldn’t breathe. Then too, my household is a citrus-free zone, because it actually could prove life-threatening to one of us. I learned very early on that many common items are full of citrus plants (like bergamot) or fruits, like baby wipes, lotions, deodorant, fabric softener, detergents, hair care, oils, teas, juices, prepared food, air freshener, soft drinks, snacks, …. It’s basically everywhere. But some flowers are just as lethal around here. Why does that matter?

Well, being the kind of girl I am, I decided to step up and create a solution I could live with. I shared my solution, and people liked it, requested more of it, so I expanded it into several products I could offer on a grander scale. There I go doing stuff, I know. Some people are content to do absolutely nothing; I needed a project. So I volunteered.

This isn’t about tooting my own horn though. It’s about education. Yours and mine. If you know someone who is sensitive to scents and specific triggers, recommend the Signature Body Shop to them, because we understand and support those who are different. We also use only natural ingredients you could eat or drink. If you are curious about this glow I referred to, ask me some questions or place your order at www.tonyadfloyd.com/catalog_1.html. There’s nothing to lose here. You’ll benefit even if you try to hate. I’m just saying, research and analysis are what I do. I can’t stop, even when I want to. My research says I’m onto something people need. Try me. I dare you.
