So here’s what happened: I wanted a good scrub, that smelled good, while leaving my skin extra soft and glistening. I also wanted a nice moisturizer that didn’t evaporate or have alcohol, thereby defeating the purpose. I wanted less chemicals in my products–like none. And I wanted the scent to be subtle, yet present. My youngest son has terrible allergies, so I must be careful what we all use around him, and if he gets congested, I need a safe fix.

I needed to get ahead of this thing, and I did. Signature Body Shop is my answer to all the above. I created gentle, natural products with scent, using my love of cooking and baking, with help from my favorite cooking shows and a little research. I use common household staples, a blend of healthy oils, and spices to fragrance, exfoliate, moisturize, heal, and condition our skin. It was so much fun, and my skin feels incredible!

Somebody can’t stop testing everything, saying he’s gonna be the freshest dude at school. He has his sample bag ready too. Something about money to be made. As for me, finding combinations beyond one or two ingredients is like solving equations to me. I love the challenge. And I’m winning. A little of this, a little of that. Voila! Like a home-cooked meal, or cake baked from scratch–that’s what I’m doing.
