They See You!

Sometimes as business owners, entrepreneurs, thought leaders, visionaries–whatever role you’ve thrown yourself into head first–we may think our message isn’t getting out because we don’t see the numbers, get the noticeable support or receive orders for our products–and the algorithm ain’t your friend.😆 However, I’m here to tell you they ARE watching you. Sometimes they’re even copying you and putting your information out under their own label/brand. A lot of them can’t even stand it because they wish they could manufacture charisma and magnetism like you, and they cannot.

Once upon a time I wrote about an unpleasant situation where I thought the person just didn’t think I was good enough. Mostly because they kept saying the way I did everything was not good enough. Actually, it was twice that I wrote about it (I’ll find them). I internalized that thing (’cause that’s how I process everything at first), then I prayed on that thing, and I had one of my 3am wakeup calls that said the reason they REALLY didn’t like me was because I impressed, amused, enchanted people they looked up to.

Can you imagine the feeling of invisibility that must come over them when somebody else walks in and steals the attention of everyone in that room? I ain’t one to brag, but their folks were so digging Tonya D Floyd that they couldn’t even stand me. Naturally, I let loose and took off the shell because who am I not to be a bright, shining light where people want/need one…? God gave me this glow.

You haven’t noticed because you’re busy creating and trying to grow your business, but when you walk into a room from now on, I want you to scan that room and check the facial expressions and body language. Check again when you’re leaving. They see you. Can’t help but notice you. You’re different. You attract. And therefore you offend some. But they’re still gonna look.

It’s late in the post, but I came here today to ask you why you even bother creating, posting, sharing, offering when you feel like you’re not making a dent? Is it because you have a burning desire to create, produce, share that thing you do, or is it to see what other people say about it? Yeah, feedback is valuable in some instances, but you already are the blueprint, so you don’t really need that part. You already are the package. You have it. You’re doing it. And it’s working.

I follow Gary Vee (Vaynerchuk) on social media. He always has something positive, and lively, to say. I appreciate the way he tells his followers to just do the thing they love and want to do, regardless of the fame or the money or follower count. It’s about the joy, the satisfaction, the peace, the fulfillment you get from having done the thing that wakes you up and insists you share it with the people. Period. Keep doing that.

Don’t burn your insides up trying to please anybody else. People are fickle; many bounce around following everybody because they don’t know who they are and they’re looking for instructions. Let them have it. Your lane is not for that kind of foolishness. Your lane is for serious people who know what they want, and see that you can get it done for them–and your secret admirers. I promise you that a handful of committed clients who value you and your efforts are worth far more than a million clicks of a button with zero conversion. You’d be surprised who is saving their coins just to hire/support you. They might hire you in secret, love it, then go back to talking trash about you with their friends who never knew they hired you. So?! 🤑

I said keep going. God gave you your glow too. Honor that gift. Now here’s the stuff I wrote about the bamma who fake didn’t like me. 🤣😂🤣
